5 Sided Square Pty Ltd, Brisbane, Australia. This policy describes how we handle personal information received through this website and initial enquiries. Information handling for an accepted matter will also be explained in the relevant engagement and collection notices.

What we collect

When you enquire, we collect your email address, any name you choose to provide, your brief overview and subsequent correspondence. Website systems may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited and cookie identifiers.

Keep your first message brief. Please do not send identity documents, passwords, financial account credentials or sensitive case material through the website form. Contact us first to discuss an appropriate way to share material. You can use a pseudonym for an initial enquiry; identification may be needed before we accept work.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond, assess whether we can assist and discuss next steps. Technical information supports website operation, security and performance. We may also use information to maintain business records, manage complaints and meet legal obligations. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell, lease or trade personal information.

Website providers and disclosure

This website and enquiry form are hosted by Squarespace. Form submissions are stored within Squarespace and a notification is sent to our enquiry mailbox. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam; it may process device, browser and interaction information.

We may disclose relevant information to providers supporting these systems, advisers where necessary, with your authority, or where required or permitted by law. Confidentiality is not absolute and is not the same as legal professional privilege.

Provider processing may occur outside Australia, including in the United States. See the Squarespace Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy. Google’s Terms of Service also apply to reCAPTCHA. Contact us if you need further information about the providers involved before sharing sensitive material.

Squarespace and integrated services may use cookies and similar technologies for site operation, security and analytics. You can manage cookies in your browser and, where available, the site’s cookie controls. Blocking some cookies may affect functionality.

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the effective date on the published version. A policy update does not itself authorise a new use of your information where consent or another legal basis is required.
