About these terms

This website is operated by 5 Sided Square Pty Ltd, Brisbane, Australia. These terms explain the basis on which we provide website information and consider enquiries.

Enquiries and engagement

Sending an enquiry does not appoint us, create an obligation to accept a matter or authorise us to act on your behalf. An engagement begins only when its scope and terms have been agreed in writing. We may need to confirm identity, authority, conflicts, jurisdiction and suitability before accepting work.

The written engagement sets out the services, fees, expenses, payment arrangements, responsibilities, reporting and any cancellation terms. Changes to scope or fees should also be agreed in writing. These website terms do not retrospectively change an existing engagement.

Our services and their limits

We assist with complex matters, negotiations, scam recovery support and private intelligence, within the scope of each accepted engagement and applicable law. “No judgement” means respectful treatment; it does not mean that every request can be accepted.

We do not undertake unlawful access, threats, extortion or other unlawful conduct. We have no police or statutory enforcement powers. Website content is general information, not legal, financial or investment advice. Where specialist advice or authority is required, an appropriately qualified professional may be needed.

Outcomes

We cannot guarantee recovery of money, a negotiated settlement, the availability of evidence or another particular result. Outcomes depend on the facts, third parties, jurisdiction and other factors beyond our control. Any assessment of prospects is an assessment, not a promise.

This statement does not limit our obligation to provide services with due care and skill or any other right you have under applicable law.

Your information and instructions

Please provide information honestly, distinguish facts from assumptions and tell us about material changes. Only provide material you are lawfully entitled to share. Do not submit passwords, account credentials, identity documents or sensitive evidence through the initial website form. We will discuss an appropriate method if further material is needed.

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. An enquiry is not a legally privileged communication merely because it is sent to us.

Using this website

You may view, share links to, and print reasonable extracts of this website for personal or internal business use with attribution. Our branding and original content remain protected by intellectual property law. Other reproduction or commercial use requires permission unless permitted by law.

Do not misuse the website, interfere with its security or availability, impersonate another person, or submit unlawful or malicious content. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; their content and practices are outside our control.

Consumer rights and concerns

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, remedy or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Any refund, cancellation or other remedy will be considered under the applicable law and your engagement terms.

Updates and applicable law

We may update these website terms for future use and will show the effective date of the published version. Changes do not alter an existing engagement unless agreed or otherwise permitted by law. Queensland and applicable Australian law apply, without removing mandatory protections that apply elsewhere.
